Doctors to the Barrios

C.O.R.E., is in partnership with the Doctors to the Barrios (DTTBs) that is a project of the Department of Health (DOH). The Heroes on Wheels program, aims to strengthen the support networks of the communities in times of need by providing its beneficiaries with the proper outdoor equipment and moreover, the transportation mechanism that they will need to immediately reach inaccessible areas.

The Doctors to the Barrios or DTTB’s are the medical assistance personnel deployed to different communities in order to extend primary health services as well as preventive medical care. This includes the distribution of free medicines, medical supplies and apparatus to different municipalities. The DTTBs are the first of the many possible recipients of this program.

C.O.R.E. has extended its assistance in providing Heroes on Wheels’ beneficiaries with the right gear and bike equipment that are sturdy and capable enough of standing the worst terrain in far-flung areas.

We would like to thank our partners for their generous support to the completion of the “Heroes on Wheels” for DTTB: Columbia and Mountain Hardware and Donors from the Project: Typhoon Yolanda Donors of Primer Group of Companies.

Heroes on wheels are looking for more possible recipients of this program as years go on.
